FEAR OF HAIR HYPNOSIS
But there are some people who have a fear of hair, which is called trichotillomania or "hair-pulling disorder." It's when someone pulls out their own hair because they feel like something is wrong with them or they're not good enough.
This can happen on its own or as a result of stress or anxiety. People who suffer from this condition may experience depression or anxiety as well as have trouble in school or at work because they've lost so much hair in different areas of their bodies that they don't look normal anymore.
Some people try to hide their bald spots by wearing hats or scarves all the time—which only leads to more stress and anxiety about being seen without those things on!
If you think you might be suffering from this disorder, know that there is help available for you! You can talk with a counselor who specializes in treating these kinds of problems and find strategies for coping with your emotions without hurting yourself physically through pulling out your own hair (or shaving off what remains).
Have you ever been afraid of hair hypnosis?
You know, it's a real thing. It's just not as common as fear of spiders or fear of heights.
I mean, no one likes to think about their hair falling out or going grey, but it happens to everyone eventually and we all have to deal with it somehow. But when you have a phobia like this, it can really be a problem for you.
If your fear of hair hypnosis is causing you stress in your life, please talk to someone about it.
Have you ever been hypnotized? Maybe you have, and maybe you haven't. Either way, I'm willing to bet that it was one of the most relaxing experiences of your life.
Whether or not you're familiar with hypnosis, we've all heard about it. If you've ever seen someone on stage falling into a trance or had a friend try to hypnotize you, then you know what I'm talking about. You might have even fallen into hypnosis yourself when you were younger and had no idea what was happening.
The thing is: there are people out there who are afraid of hair hypnosis—and it's no joke! They actually suffer from a very real phobia that causes them to panic whenever they hear the word "hypnosis" or see someone being hypnotized on TV or in real life. Their fear comes from their belief that they'll be forced into doing something against their will while under hypnosis—even though we know this isn't possible because everyone has free will and can choose whether or not they want to participate in any given activity at any given time.
I've talked with lots of people who suffer from this phobia (which is called
Fear of hair hypnosis is the irrational fear that someone will hypnotize you by cutting your hair, or by doing something with your hair that will make you susceptible to hypnosis. It's a common phobia, but it can be treated.
Fear of hair hypnosis is derived from a real phenomenon: the fact that people who are nervous or submissive are more likely to be hypnotized than those who are calm and confident. This can be seen as an evolutionary survival mechanism—the less confident person is more likely to accept their new identity as a member of their community if they're under some kind of outside influence.
Theoretically, if someone were able to cut your hair in such a way that would prevent you from being able to control your own body—or even worse, control your own mind—you could theoretically be susceptible to hypnosis.
However, this isn't actually possible because there isn't any evidence that cutting or styling your hair can change how susceptible you are to hypnosis (or anything else).
A phobia is an irrational fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. It’s a way for your body to deal with something it perceives as threatening, even though there is little or no actual danger.
Many people have a phobia of insects, heights, or water. But did you know that some people also have a phobia of hair?
Hair hypnosis is a technique that uses hypnosis to help you feel more comfortable around hair and stop your fear of it. In this process, you will be guided through relaxation techniques and then asked to imagine yourself surrounded by hair. You may also be given suggestions to help you see hair as less of a threat.
Because the unconscious mind cannot differentiate between reality and imagination, the techniques used during hair hypnosis can help reprogram your brain so that it no longer reacts negatively toward certain stimuli, such as hair.
