Comparing Hypnotherapists in Brisbane? Hear from a Real Client Before You Decide
You have decided you want help.
Now comes another problem:
Who Do You Choose?
Search for hypnotherapy Brisbane and you may find:
Different practitioners.
Different qualifications.
Different approaches.
Different claims.
Different reviews.
Different prices.
Different explanations of hypnosis.
And after opening enough websites:
Choosing Can Become Another Thing to Overthink
“Who has the most experience?”
“Who actually works with anxiety?”
“Will the session be personalised?”
“Will I feel comfortable?”
“Are the testimonials genuine?”
“How do I know who to trust?”
This Client Testimonial | Award Winning Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane | Clive Westwood gives you another piece of information you can use when making that decision:
The Perspective of a Real Client
[EMBED CLIENT TESTIMONIAL VIDEO HERE]
Listen to What the Client Actually Says
A testimonial should not need exaggerated promises added around it.
Listen to:
Their words.
Their experience.
Their perspective.
Their Experience Is Personal to Them
It does not guarantee:
Your outcome.
Your timeframe.
Or your response to hypnotherapy.
Why People Search Hypnotherapy Reviews before Booking
Because a website tells you:
What the practitioner says about themselves.
A testimonial tells you:
What a Client Says about Their Experience
Both can provide useful information.
But they answer different questions.
You May Be Searching for the Best Hypnotherapist in Brisbane
“Best” is difficult to determine objectively.
The practitioner who suits one client may not suit another.
A Better Question May Be:
“Who appears suitable for the problem I want help with?”
Experience Is One Factor
When comparing hypnotherapists, you might consider:
How long they have practised.
What concerns they commonly work with.
Whether sessions are personalised.
How they explain hypnosis.
Whether They Make Unrealistic Promises
Look at Their Main Areas of Focus
If your primary problem is:
Anxiety.
Panic.
Overthinking.
Stress.
Social anxiety.
Confidence.
It May Be Useful to Choose Someone Who Regularly Works with Those Patterns
Look at How They Explain Hypnosis
Be cautious if hypnosis is described as:
Magic.
Mind control.
A guaranteed cure.
Something that removes your ability to choose.
Professional Hypnotherapy Should Be Explained Realistically
Look at the Claims Being Made
Claims such as:
“Guaranteed cure.”
“Works for everyone.”
“One session guaranteed.”
Should make you cautious.
Individual Responses Vary
Look at Whether the Practitioner Understands the Difference between Similar Problems
For example:
“Anxiety” can describe many experiences.
Panic Anxiety
You may fear:
Heart sensations.
Breathing changes.
Dizziness.
Shaking.
Losing control.
Social Anxiety
You may fear:
Judgement.
Rejection.
Embarrassment.
Awkward silence.
Health Anxiety
You may fear:
Illness.
Physical sensations.
Uncertainty.
Overthinking
You may struggle with:
Replaying.
Analysing.
Predicting.
Second-guessing.
These Patterns Should Not Automatically Be Treated as Identical
Personalisation Matters
Imagine two clients both say:
“I want to stop overthinking.”
One constantly replays:
Social interactions.
The other continually worries about:
Health.
Same Description
Different Trigger
Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane
People may seek hypnotherapy for anxiety involving:
general worry
panic
overthinking
racing thoughts
social anxiety
health anxiety
fear of judgement
fear of rejection
anxiety about anxiety
physical anxiety sensations
catastrophic thinking
reassurance seeking
avoidance
fear of losing control
Understanding the Pattern Can Help Make the Approach More Relevant
Panic Hypnotherapy Brisbane
Panic can create fear of:
The next panic attack.
You begin monitoring:
Heart rate.
Breathing.
Dizziness.
Temperature.
Then the Monitoring Itself Can Increase Anxiety
Hypnotherapy may provide complementary support for panic-related anxiety.
New, severe, persistent or unexplained physical symptoms require appropriate medical assessment.
Overthinking Hypnotherapy Brisbane
Perhaps your biggest problem is:
Your own mental commentary.
“What if?”
“Why did I say that?”
“What if I made the wrong decision?”
One Thought Becomes Another
Then another.
A personalised approach may focus on:
How you respond to thoughts rather than trying to forcibly eliminate every thought.
Social Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane
You might struggle with:
Meeting people.
Groups.
Work meetings.
Dating.
Eye contact.
Authority figures.
Public speaking.
Social Confidence Does Not Mean Becoming the Loudest Person in the Room
It may simply mean:
Being able to participate without excessive self-monitoring.
Health Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane
Perhaps you notice:
A sensation.
Then immediately think:
“What if something is seriously wrong?”
Then:
Search.
Check.
Monitor.
Seek reassurance.
Hypnotherapy May Support the Anxiety Pattern
It should never be used to dismiss genuine physical symptoms requiring medical assessment.
Stress Hypnotherapy Brisbane
Perhaps your difficulty is:
Work pressure.
Business stress.
Financial pressure.
Family responsibility.
Relationships.
Hypnotherapy Cannot Remove Genuine External Problems
But it may support:
Relaxation.
Mental boundaries.
Reduced repetitive thinking.
Different responses to pressure.
Confidence Hypnotherapy Brisbane
Perhaps the issue is:
Fear of failure.
Fear of judgement.
Self-doubt.
Rejection.
Assertiveness.
Confidence May Mean Taking Appropriate Action despite some nervousness
Fear and Phobia Hypnotherapy Brisbane
People may seek hypnotherapy for fears involving:
Flying.
Driving.
Vomiting.
Heights.
Needles.
Medical procedures.
Public speaking.
Animals.
Appropriate Treatment Should Build Proportionate Confidence
Not reckless disregard for genuine danger.
Habit Change Hypnotherapy Brisbane
People may also explore hypnosis for:
Smoking.
Vaping.
Emotional eating.
Nail biting.
Skin picking.
Procrastination.
The Trigger behind the Behaviour can be important
What Should You Look for in Client Testimonials?
Do not only look for:
“Did the client say something dramatic?”
Instead consider:
Does the testimonial sound authentic?
Does the client describe their own experience?
Does the practitioner avoid turning the testimonial into a universal promise?
Credibility Is More Important than Exaggeration
One Testimonial Is One Experience
That is important.
Ten testimonials are:
Ten experiences.
They are still not:
A Guarantee of Your Individual Result
Testimonials Can Help You Assess Communication Style
You may notice:
How the practitioner interacts.
How clients describe them.
Whether the approach sounds:
Direct.
Relaxed.
Professional.
Personalised.
Therapeutic Rapport Matters
Watch Videos from the Practitioner
Before choosing somebody, video content can help you understand:
How they communicate.
How they explain problems.
Their general style.
Ask Yourself:
“Would I feel comfortable talking to this person?”
Read the Website
Look beyond:
Headlines.
Examine whether the practitioner explains:
The issue.
The process.
Limitations.
What hypnosis can and cannot reasonably do.
Good Information Should Help You Make an Informed Decision
Look for Personalisation
A useful question is:
“Will My Session Be about My Problem?”
Or:
Will you simply receive the same script everyone else receives?
What Happens in Personalised Hypnotherapy?
Before hypnosis, the issue may be explored.
This can include:
What happens.
When it happens.
What triggers it.
What thoughts occur.
What physical sensations occur.
What you fear.
What You Do Next
Then Hypnosis Can Be More Specific
Depending on the client, suggestions may focus on:
Calmness.
Confidence.
Relaxation.
Assertiveness.
Letting go.
Reduced overthinking.
Different responses to triggers.
Mental Rehearsal
Perhaps anxiety has trained you to imagine:
Failure.
Embarrassment.
Panic.
Disaster.
Hypnosis May Be Used to Rehearse a More Useful Response
Does Hypnosis Mean Losing Control?
No.
You remain capable of:
Hearing.
Thinking.
Speaking.
Moving.
Stopping.
You Retain Choice
Do You Become Unconscious?
No.
Hypnosis does not require unconsciousness.
Do You Have to Believe in Hypnosis?
You do not need to believe:
Hypnosis is magical.
Willing Participation Is More Useful than Forced Belief

Do Your Research — Then Make Your Decision
You do not need to choose a practitioner because:
Their website appeared first.
They made the biggest promise.
Or they used the word:
“Best.”
Look Deeper
Read.
Watch.
Compare.
Listen to testimonials.
Look for Experience and Personalisation
And perhaps most importantly:
Ask yourself:
“Would I Feel Comfortable Talking Honestly to This Person?”
Watch the Client Testimonial
Listen to what the client actually says.
Not what you hope they say.
Not what the practitioner wants you to hear.
Their Own Words
Then use that information alongside:
Your research.
Your needs.
Your judgement.
For personalised support, Clive Westwood provides anxiety, panic, stress, overthinking, confidence and hypnotherapy in Brisbane, with online sessions also available throughout Australia.
The purpose of a client testimonial is not to tell you who you must choose. It is to give you another piece of real-world information so you can make a more informed decision about who you trust to help you work on something important.
I first discovered Clive when I had a extremely uncontrollable anxiety to the point where I couldn't even leave home or even socialize with friends which is something I enjoy doing but uh it's just built up over so many years of um you know different use of medications and and different everything that I just couldn't escape it and I when I made the choice that I wanted to you know not have to take anything and be able to think for myself and solve my problems on my own I started looking into hypnotherapy so I looked at all the local hypnotherapists and I saw Clive and um I was like you know he had the most reviews but then like I saw a few others and I thought you know oh you know I'll try a few out anyway I tried I tried two different ones out and just had no luck you know like you felt good while I was talking talking to him and you know during an appointment it felt good but then as soon as I'd leave everything would go back to normal then I thought I'd give Clive a go and um man after the first session of seeing him was just crazy my every bit of body tension and it was gone and my mind had slowed down after the first session to about 50 of you know how how I used to think so so compulsively you know and when I walked out I just thought it was too good to be true it's got to be you know he's gotten into my head and just like you know temporarily switched something off you know and that wasn't the case you know I came back a couple more times and never look back you know coming in here I got to sit down and talk with a guy and actually get to know him which is completely different from from the rest you know actually he was actually interested in my life um and you know made me feel comfortable you know as I'm I'm pretty open with you know talking about my problems and stuff but coming here was different you know it was just like you know he wanted to be a friend not not just cared about money um and you know you know you're talking with him for the first 45 minutes of the session and then for the rest you know you he puts you under and you know he takes down whatever walls that you have in your brain blocking you off from you know being able to be happy I guess and come and he did that and you know I'm at the point now where I don't have to see Clive anymore because through seeing him I've learned how to deal with my own problems and how to you know breathe instead of coiling everything up in my head um so I highly recommend for anyone like he'd be the one to choose in the city you know because he's the one that he covers the biggest range of things you know you go home feeling good and you feel good until you know the next time you see him until you don't have to anymore so yeah I recommend Clive Highly
