Feel Brave Hypnosis | Award Winning Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane | Clive Westwood
Feel brave with guided hypnosis
Feeling brave does not mean feeling no fear. It means recognising a nervous feeling, steadying yourself and choosing a safe next step.
Fear can make you hesitate before something important: a conversation, social event, job interview, presentation, decision, drive, flight, appointment or new experience. Your mind may predict the worst, while your body becomes tense and wants to escape.
This guided hypnosis resource may offer complementary support for calmness, courage and more helpful responses to anxiety.
Fear is a feeling, not a command
Fear can be useful when it alerts you to genuine danger. But fear can also show up when a situation is uncomfortable, unfamiliar or important to you.
You do not have to argue with every fearful thought. You can notice it, ask whether there is a real safety concern and decide what one manageable action makes sense.
A brave step might be small: making one call, walking into a room, asking one question, practising for five minutes or staying with a safe situation a little longer.
The aim is never to push through something dangerous, threatening, abusive or inappropriate. In those situations, courage may mean leaving, setting a boundary or seeking help.
What this guided hypnosis may help you practise
Hypnosis is a relaxed, focused state that can be used to practise helpful mental habits. It is not mind control, and you remain able to think, respond and choose throughout the experience.
This guided session may help you practise:
calming your breathing and releasing tension
stepping back from fearful predictions
recognising the difference between danger and discomfort
returning attention to the present moment
remembering previous moments of courage
using supportive, realistic inner language
picturing one safe and achievable next step
No outcome can be guaranteed. Hypnosis cannot remove every fear or make decisions for you. It may provide a calmer space to prepare for action.
Build courage through repetition
Confidence often comes after taking action, not before it. Start with a step small enough to attempt and repeat it until it feels more familiar.
For social confidence, you might start with eye contact and a brief greeting. For public speaking, you might practise your opening sentence aloud. For a difficult task, you might set a timer for ten minutes and begin.
Afterwards, acknowledge the effort. You are building self-trust each time you show yourself that you can feel nervous and still respond.
Listening safely
Listen only while resting safely in a quiet place. You can pause the recording at any time, open your eyes, stretch and return your attention to the room.
Never listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery, walking near traffic, swimming or doing anything that requires your full attention.

Frequently asked questions
Can hypnosis make me feel brave?
No outcome can be guaranteed. It may help some people practise relaxation and take manageable confidence-building steps, while courage develops through safe action and experience.
Should I force myself to face my fears?
No. Do not force yourself through something unsafe or overwhelming. Choose gradual, safe steps and seek qualified help for severe fear, trauma or anxiety.
Is hypnosis mind control?
No. You remain able to think, respond and choose throughout the experience.
Can I listen before a difficult event?
You may listen while resting safely before an event if it suits your routine. Allow time to become fully alert before driving or doing anything that requires your full attention.
