Overcome Shyness Hypnosis | Award Winning Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane | Clive Westwood
Shyness can make everyday interactions feel much bigger than they need to be. You may know what you want to say but hold back, worry about being judged, avoid attention or replay conversations long after they have ended.
This hypnosis recording is designed to support confidence, calm and social-ease goals. It cannot promise to remove shyness or change your personality, but it may help you practise a more relaxed and self-supportive state.
Hypnosis for shyness and social confidence
Being quiet, reflective or reserved is not a problem to be fixed. The goal is not to become somebody else. It may be to feel more comfortable expressing yourself, speaking up when you choose to and staying present around other people.
You may use this recording to work towards goals such as:
Feeling more at ease in conversations
Reducing fear of being judged
Speaking more confidently in groups
Making eye contact more comfortably
Feeling calmer before social situations
Letting go of excessive self-monitoring
Sharing your ideas more freely
Building self-trust in everyday interactions
Everyone responds differently. This recording is not a guarantee of results.
A calmer relationship with self-conscious thoughts
Shyness often comes with a busy inner critic. You may notice thoughts such as “What will they think?” or “I will say the wrong thing.” Hypnosis and guided relaxation may help you pause, settle your body and practise returning your attention to the moment rather than becoming lost in self-judgement.
Only listen when you can safely relax. Do not use this recording while driving, operating machinery or doing anything that requires your full attention.

Frequently asked questions
Can hypnosis overcome shyness?
Some people use hypnosis to work towards greater calm and confidence in social situations. Individual results vary, and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
Does shyness mean something is wrong with me?
No. Being naturally quiet or reflective is not a problem. Support may be useful if shyness is causing distress or stopping you from doing things that matter to you.
Can hypnosis help with social anxiety?
If fear of social situations is severe or affecting your daily life, speak with a GP, psychologist or other appropriate health professional. Hypnotherapy is complementary support and does not replace professional mental-health care.
Do I lose control during hypnosis?
No. You remain aware and in control throughout hypnosis.
Can I book a private session?
You can enquire about a Red Hill or online appointment to discuss a confidence, shyness, anxiety or personal-change goal.
