Clearing Childhood Trauma Hypnosis | Award Winning Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane | Clive Westwood
Childhood experiences can continue to affect how safe, confident or connected you feel in adult life. You may notice strong reactions, self-doubt, anxiety, overthinking, difficulty relaxing or patterns that feel hard to change.
This hypnosis recording is intended only as general, complementary support for relaxation, grounding and present-day confidence goals. It does not clear childhood trauma, recover memories or replace trauma-informed psychological treatment.
Childhood trauma deserves safe, professional support
Trauma is personal, and there is no one correct timeline or method for recovery. If childhood experiences are affecting your mental health, relationships, sleep, safety or day-to-day life, speak with a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist or qualified trauma-informed mental-health professional.
Hypnotherapy does not diagnose or treat PTSD, complex trauma or childhood trauma. It should not be used instead of professional assessment or evidence-based psychological care.
If you are in immediate danger, at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or feel unable to stay safe, call 000. For crisis support, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Gentle hypnosis for present-day wellbeing goals
For people who are already receiving appropriate professional support, hypnosis may be discussed as complementary support for a separate, present-day goal such as:
Practising relaxation and grounding
Managing general stress and tension
Building confidence in everyday situations
Developing a kinder inner voice
Improving sleep routines
Feeling more connected to the present moment
Creating healthy boundaries and self-care habits
Supporting a broader wellbeing routine
Everyone’s response is different. If this recording increases distress, brings up overwhelming memories or makes you feel disconnected, stop listening and seek support from an appropriate health professional.
Listen safely and at your own pace
Only listen when you can relax in a place where you feel safe. Do not use this recording while driving, operating machinery or doing anything that requires full alertness.
You remain aware and in control during hypnosis. You can pause, stop or choose not to continue at any time. There is no need to force an emotional response or revisit painful memories to use a relaxation recording.

Frequently asked questions
Can hypnosis clear childhood trauma?
No. Hypnosis cannot promise to clear childhood trauma or heal PTSD. Trauma-related concerns need appropriate assessment and treatment from a qualified mental-health professional.
Can I use this recording if I have PTSD or complex trauma?
Speak with your treating clinician first. A recording may not be appropriate for everyone, particularly if it triggers distress, dissociation or overwhelming memories.
What if the recording makes me feel worse?
Stop listening, ground yourself in your current surroundings and seek support from a qualified professional. Call 000 in an emergency.
Do I lose control during hypnosis?
No. Hypnosis is not mind control. You remain aware and can pause or stop at any time.
Can I enquire about complementary hypnotherapy?
If you are already receiving suitable professional care and would like to discuss a separate relaxation, stress, confidence or wellbeing goal, you can enquire about an appointment.
