PTSD Hypnosis | Release Trauma | Award Winning Anxiety Hypnotherapy Brisbane | Clive Westwood
PTSD can affect how safe you feel, how your body responds to stress, how you sleep and how you relate to everyday life. You may feel on edge, emotionally numb, overwhelmed by reminders or unable to fully switch off.
This hypnosis recording is not a treatment for PTSD and cannot promise to release trauma. It is intended only as general, complementary support for present-day relaxation, grounding and confidence-related goals.
PTSD needs trauma-informed professional care
If you think you may have PTSD, or trauma symptoms are affecting your wellbeing, speak with a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist or qualified trauma-informed mental-health professional.
Hypnotherapy does not diagnose or treat PTSD. It must not replace psychological therapy, medication, medical advice, crisis support or any treatment plan recommended by your qualified health professional.
If you are in immediate danger, at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or cannot stay safe, call 000. Lifeline provides 24-hour crisis support on 13 11 14.
Complementary hypnosis for present-day goals
For someone who is already receiving appropriate professional care, hypnosis may be discussed as complementary support for a separate goal, such as:
Practising relaxation in a safe setting
Feeling more grounded in the present
Managing general stress and tension
Improving sleep routines
Building confidence for everyday life
Developing kinder self-talk
Supporting a broader wellbeing routine
Creating time for calm and self-care
Individual responses vary. This recording cannot guarantee that trauma symptoms will reduce or that traumatic memories will change.
Listen safely and at your own pace
Only listen when you can relax in a place where you feel safe. You remain aware and in control throughout hypnosis.
If the recording causes distress, panic, dissociation, overwhelming memories or a feeling of being unsafe, stop listening and seek support from an appropriate health professional. Do not listen while driving, operating machinery or doing anything that requires full attention.
There is no need to revisit or relive traumatic experiences to use a relaxation recording.
