Hypnotherapy Brisbane Zoom Session for Letting go of Anxiety

Anxiety can feel like something you have to keep fighting all day. You may wake up already worried, feel tense in your body, overanalyse small things, fear panic sensations or struggle to switch off at night.

A Zoom hypnotherapy session for letting go of anxiety can offer private, one-to-one support from a comfortable location, helping you practise a calmer response to anxious thoughts and feelings.

Letting go of anxiety does not mean forcing it away

Trying to make anxiety disappear can sometimes create more pressure. A more helpful approach may be to notice the feeling, settle your body and reduce the habits that keep the anxiety cycle going.

Letting go can mean giving less power to worst-case thoughts, reducing avoidance, creating space before reacting and returning attention to what is within your control today.

No session can promise to remove all anxiety. The aim is to help you develop practical skills and greater confidence in your ability to cope.

What happens in an online Zoom session?

Your Zoom session begins with a conversation about what has been happening and what you would like support with. You may discuss anxiety, panic symptoms, overthinking, social worries, health anxiety, sleep difficulties, specific fears or stress.

The hypnosis approach is then tailored to your goals, experiences and pace. You remain awake, aware and in control throughout. Hypnosis is not mind control, and you can speak, move or stop at any time.

A session may help some people practise:

  • slowing anxious breathing

  • relaxing physical tension

  • stepping back from racing thoughts

  • reducing fear of anxiety sensations

  • focusing on one manageable action

  • creating a calmer wind-down before sleep

  • building confidence around challenging but safe situations

Prepare safely for your Zoom appointment

Choose a quiet, private room where you can sit or lie down comfortably without interruption. Use a stable internet connection and a charged device. Headphones may help you feel more private, and it can be useful to have water nearby.

Never take part while driving, cycling, walking near traffic, operating machinery, supervising a safety-critical task or doing anything requiring your full attention.

Online appointments may be available where suitable. For children and teenagers, a parent or carer should be involved in deciding whether online support is appropriate and in setting up a safe environment.
